Gumi Gangdong Hospital began as Gimcheon Shin Jae-hak Neurosurgery Clinic in 1982 upon the principle of "Hospital that shares dreams." Since then, it has grown to become Gumi Gangdong Hospital as it is now. Our staff have worked hard and are committed to fostering a "hospital culture of open communication."

Through our hard work for the past 36 years, the hospital has become a leader in the advancement and globalization of healthcare provided in the Gyeongsangbuk-do region. The hospital also serves as a referral center for many companies, such as Samsung, LG, and Nongshim, as well as local residents and organizations, and as a committed provider of healthcare for employees and family members.

Currently, Gumi Gangdong Hospital is leading the wellness tourism industry in Gyeongsangbuk-do as a Top Medical Tourism Organization designated by the province of Gyeongsangbuk-do with the most visits from foreign patients.
In 2016, the hospital opened its Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Center and established Rehab & Geriatric Hospital.
